EASY WAY OUT is the first single by singer and multiinstrumentalist Cori Nora. It’s a bittersweet contemplation about touchscreen communication and a breakup between two friends over endless text messages.

«You take up so much space, I could have two horses in your place» Cori Nora sings to a layered saxophone and softly bouncing retro synths, held together by bass and drums.

EASY WAY OUT is the fruit of an international collaboration between artists from Switzerland and the UK with its seed initially planted by Cori Nora. While the live band’s guitar player Tara Cunningham and the artwork illustrator Rob Davies hail from London, drummer Nick Furrer aka Haubi Songs and saxophonist Christoph Huber come from Basel. Cori Nora will release an album called «Flowers And Fences» later this year.

«The melody with the lyrics came to me on a hot july evening in my kitchen in Clapton, East London. It felt like a big relief to transform the weight of that situation into a song and make peace with it», says Cori Nora about the process. The result is a playful homage to friendship which gives you energy for a fresh start, be it after a breakup or
after a long winter.
